The Spokane FUTSAL
League is currently preparing for the start of our sixth season.
During the first five seasons, we have seen a growth in the game of Futsal
and have seen its benefits transferred to the outdoor game of soccer.
This past summer two of our referees, Dave Hamlin and
Ashley Maier, represented Washington State at the US Futsal National
Championship in Baltimore Maryland. They earned the honor of being
selected to referee both semi-final and National Championship games.
Spokane FUTSAL is affiliated with the
US Futsal Federation.
We are excited to have had the opportunity to introduce Futsal to Spokane,
eastern Washington and northern Idaho. Spokane Futsal is the largest
and longest running Futsal league in the State of Washington.
Futsal works hand-in-hand with the outdoor game by helping
to develop and polish a player's individual and team skills. The
off-the-wall variety works in reverse and actually breaks down a player's
skill level. Played with a special low-bounce ball, Futsal
necessitates players using their skills, rather than the ball's bounce, to
propel it. In traveling around the country,
